At Scottish Coo'venutres we’re committed to protecting your privacy and keeping your personal information safe. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Who We Are

We run a child-friendly website based in the UK, designed to be fun, educational, and safe. We encourage children to use nicknames and never upload photos of themselves.

What Information We Collect

We only collect the information necessary to process payments and improve your experience. This may include:

  • Name (nickname preferred for children)

  • Email address

  • Payment details (securely handled by our payment provider)

  • Quiz or activity responses (non-identifiable)

We do not collect or store personal photos, real names of children, or any sensitive personal data.

We do encourage children's artwork that will be vetted before appearing on the website.

Payments

All payments are processed securely through Wix payments.

We do not store your full payment details — only what’s needed to confirm your transaction.

How We Use Your Data

We use your information to:

  • Process purchases

  • Respond to queries

  • Improve our website and content

  • Ensure safety and compliance with child protection standards

We do not sell or share your data with third parties for marketing.

Children’s Privacy

We follow the UK’s Children’s Code to ensure our site is safe and age-appropriate. We:

  • Encourage nicknames instead of real names

  • Prohibit personal photo uploads

  • Avoid tracking or profiling

  • Keep content suitable for children

If you're under 13, please ask a parent or guardian to help with purchases.

Keeping Your Data Safe

We use secure systems and encryption to protect your data. Only authorized staff can access it, and only when necessary.

Sharing Your Data

We may share data with trusted service providers (like payment processors) to run the site — but only what’s needed, and never for advertising.

Your Rights

Under UK law, you have the right to:

  • Access your data

  • Correct inaccurate data

  • Request deletion

  • Object to certain uses

To exercise these rights, contact us at: scottishcooventures@gmail.com

What We’ve Done

To make our site more accessible, we:

  • Use clear fonts and high-contrast colours

  • Provide alt text for images

  • Avoid flashing or distracting animations

  • Keep navigation simple and consistent

  • Use plain language wherever possible

  • Encourage child-safe interactions (like nicknames and no personal photo uploads)

What We’re Working On

We’re always looking to improve. Some parts of our site may not yet meet full accessibility standards, but we’re working to fix that. If you find something that’s hard to use, please let us know.
